Villa Igiea - a Rocco Forte Hotel

We just came back from a lovely 5 day stay at Villa Igiea. The service has been thoughtful and thorough throughout. For example, Housekeeping saw that I left my glasses in the bathroom and protected them with a microfiber cleaning cloth. And all wires we left out in the room were neatly organized with velcro tie down straps. Location wise, nothing beats waking up to the view of the ocean. However it should be noted that it’s not very walkable immediately outside the hotel. We typically call an Uber or take their shuttle into the city center, which runs every hour between 10a-7:30p. I wish the shuttle could be reserved for a much later time, like 9 or 10pm in the future! As that’s when we usually finish dinner if eating out. In any case it is not too inconvenient. It takes about 15-20 mins from hotel to city center, depending on traffic. Last but not least, I highly recommend their breakfast buffet and menu items. A lovely spread of greens, fruits, yogurt, cheeses, and local pastries. The eggs are always perfectly cooked. I personally thought the cannoli was the best one I had in all of Palermo. Not too sweet, very light, and the pastry perfectly fresh! PS there was also a lovely orange cat near the porch of the bar. Wish we saw more of him!

Villa Igiea is probably one of the best hotels I have ever been to. The hotel itself and the rooms are beautiful. Their restaurants and breakfasts are incredible. But most notably the service is unparalleled. The staff are fantastic and put so much effort into making sure every detail is perfect. Highly recommend and hope to return again soon.

We had such a wonderful stay at Villa Igiea. Views from the room over the bay were beautiful, breakfast was delicious and the hotel truly makes you feel like stepping back in time with it's old world charm. However, the best part of our stay were all interaction with the staff. Such genuine care and friendly interaction. We truly felt spoilt. Thank you so much to everyone who we met during our stay! You make this place special.

My mother and I just spent 2.5 week in Sicily and this hotel was our favorite. The location and grounds were outstanding. The food was excellent and the service was top notch. Roberto Supporta (we asked for his full name) was absolutely incredible. He would consistently go above and beyond anything that was asked of him. We looked forward to seeing him at the different restaurants at lunch and at cocktail hour every day. .i hope that the owners of this establishment know what a dedicated gentleman they have working for them. Wonderful hotel… highly recommend!!!

We stayed at the hotel for two nights. The location was perfect for us as it was just outside the busiest part of Palermo. The building is beautiful and historic(including spectacular views of the bay and surrounding mountains). From the moment we checked in and until we left, the staff could not have done enough for us. We had arrived after some long traveling and the took extra care to ensure our comfort by quickly getting us in our room, offering refreshments and securing reservations at their primary restaurant, Florio. We found the food to be very good, the bar active and entertaining and the patio overlooking the bay very calming and inviting. Upon leaving, they packed us very njce bags of breakfast items for each of us in our party as we had an early departure. It was a very nice touch. If you’re looking for true 5 star accommodations while in Palermo, Villa Igiea is the best spot. Arrivederci per ora, torneremo!
