Vergeiner`s Hotel Traube

Very good hotel, with swimming pool at the roof. Excellent position, in the center of the city.

We have stayed here twice and formed the following view. Positives : Location - right in the main square Spa - superb views from the decent sized swimming pool. Fairly basic relaxation lounge overlooking the square. Room size - we had the room often used as the bridal suite which is massive and overlooks the square. The room had a sofa and two armchairs. Good bed. Some dated (as opposed to antique) furniture. Bathroom - modern and well equipped. Reception - friendly and attentive. Building - lovely historical look and feel. Less positives : Breakfast - frankly not great quality (would prefer it to be cooked to order, and the coffee machine is not good) and self service. Fairly soul less experience. Price - top end. Facilities in the room - no kettle or tea/coffee making, nor mini bar (there is a fridge though for your own purchases), nor room service.

Perfect hotel, very polite and nice staff. In a hot midday after a long ride, gave me the room hours before the checkin time. The room was comfortable, and the restaurant and breakfast were great, especially if you get there early to have a chance to get a table on the balcony. But the pool and spa area were exceptional. Swimming in the pool on the sixth floor with a full view of mountains in a hot summer day was a nice experience.

when i booked this place, i was not aware its a 4⭐(similar price to what you can get at dolomites thats lower tier).maybe good offer during weekdays. Its a trully exceptional value. The spacious room(they provide standing fan too) facilities they have (pool, gym, sauna, personal bathtub), and freeflow european breakfast, this actually helps my recovery as an ultra trail runner. Location is just few hundred meters from train/bus stn, exactly at main plaza, and a great base to start trail running (along river) or straight hike up those 24xxm mountains. The staffs were great too 👍. And they even provide complimentary transport card too

Lovely older hotel in nice shape. Great pool and view; would have loved to have time to explore the sauna. Pleasant staff at the desk and restaurant. Little noisy outside with the 3rd floor window open (no AC). Easy parking across the street.
