Tropical Islands Berlin is an incredible place — the indoor rainforest, pools, slides, and lagoon areas are absolutely stunning. You truly feel like you’ve been transported to a tropical paradise. The variety of activities and themed areas make it perfect for families or anyone looking for a fun and relaxing escape from everyday life.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the facilities were clean and well maintained. We especially loved the pools and spa areas — so much space to swim, relax, and enjoy the tropical atmosphere.
⭐ Why I gave four stars
Initially, we stayed in the housing outside the main complex, and this was quite frustrating. The buses to the complex were slow, infrequent, and there really wasn’t any other convenient way to get there other than walking. It made getting to the pools and attractions unnecessarily stressful. Once we moved into accommodation directly on the complex, our experience improved drastically — being able to step right into the fun without worrying about transport made all the difference.
Overall, Tropical Islands Berlin is a fantastic experience and worth visiting, but I would strongly recommend staying on the complex itself if you want to make the most of your time there.

Despite arriving early in the morning, most lockers were already taken. A considerable number of the remaining lockers were out of order, which created unnecessary stress right at the entrance and gave a poor first impression of organization and maintenance.
The indoor rainforest looks visually appealing at first glance, with lush plants and atmospheric lighting. However, it is relatively small and offers almost no proper seating integrated into the greenery. You cannot really relax “in nature.” In contrast, the space dedicated to restaurants and retail is disproportionately large. The food was overpriced and mediocre in quality, and the abundance of souvenir and miscellaneous shops felt commercial rather than leisure-focused.
The water attractions were average and not particularly exciting compared to other facilities in the same price range. The so-called beach and relaxation areas were especially frustrating: many loungers were “reserved” for hours with towels and bags, leaving new arrivals wandering around without a place to sit.
Overall, the experience did not justify the high prices. The focus seems to be on maximizing retail and food revenue rather than providing a comfortable and well-organized recreational environment. For the cost, the quality, maintenance, and overall guest management were simply not at the level one would expect.

The is is not “the largest water park”, there are only two pools and a few water slides. The room was dirty and the beds were uncomfortable. We asked for extra pillows and were told no. We booked the premium package “all inclusive” but were given the wrong wristbands and never received our free refill cups. The only food included was breakfast and dinner and everything else we had to pay extra for. The staff was rude, unhelpful and unapologetic for their mistake with the armbands. We were offered no compensation for their mistake.
One of the lifeguards was asleep and looked hungover. The entire building was shabby.
Everything was extra, this was not “all inclusive”. Also, the air temperature was not warm enough to be walking around wet waiting in line for the water slides and the water temperature could have been warmer. We were cold the whole day. The only good thing to say is my daughter got to do a mermaid swim lesson (23€).
If you want to stay at a beautiful, luxury water park, go to Rulantica by Europa Park in Baden-Württemberg which is way better priced and way nicer.

We were there in end of December 2025 and it was all perfect. Were worried about temperature after reading reviews online. But trust me guys we were there with 2 kids and the temperature of Dome and of water was so well maintained and perfect. Temperature is not an issue at all. You feel cosy and warm inside, just perfectly balanced. Neat and clean area, nice food court. Kids enjoyed alot. I recommend it highly and I think it will be perfect to visit this place in winters. Recommended 👍🏻

I think as a value for money this place is great. We came around 10 and left around 20 and the time flew. Our 4 year old was absolutely amazed. They also cater to pretty much any age group, so fun us adults was also plenty.
Sauna landscape was diverse and staff on the reception and in the spa kind and accommodating.
Now, having said that it is OBVIOUSLY very busy. But to all of those people who complain about it in the reviews I honestly would ask & what did you expect? The place has a capacity of multiple thousands per day, of course it's gonna be busy.
The only couple negatives I will point out: 1. Better healthier food selection would be fantastic. Since you are likely to have multiple meals there a bit of a more variety from fried stuff would be cool 2. They could do a slightly better job cleaning tables in the food court during peak hours, was rough to find a clean table 3. The massage rooms are a bit cold. Which is actually weird by comparison because everywhere else is very very warm.
