We go to Golf de Torremirona each year, and usually have an excellent time. Great location, staff, golf course and practice setup, as well as amenities. Our last visit was this past weekend.
This year, however, we left with a bad taste, for a really avoidable reason, after an enjoyable stay. If you eat at the hotel El Caniga restaurant, and ask for a piece of bread with your meal at lunch or dinner, the hotel management has decided to charge 3.50 Euros for a simple roll of bread. This is quite unreasonable, and destroys the overall ambience for the guest, hence the low rating for service (although I have to admit the waiters were also embarrassed to charge this amount). Service level overall was very good as usual by the reception, restaurant, and golf team.

I paid €55 for a birthday treat for my friend and i to go to the spa. Firstly the code didn’t work so we had to go back and get the girl. Then she couldn’t open the door so she had to go and get someone else. When we eventually got in we got changed and then realised the saunas weren’t working. We picked up the phone to call reception but that also didn’t work so we paid €55 for just a large jacuzzi.

Awesome hotel. My dog and I we had a wonderful weekend there. Comfy rooms, super pet-friendly, very attentive staff. The only thing is that on the premises there aren't many places to walk the dog, we had to go a bit farther to enjoy nature in peace. Overall, I highly recommend the hotel😊

We spent about 30 min for check in with a crowd of people at 7 pm. There was only one person and he made us fill in some online form by ourselves. All the people around were doing the same. They tried to offer cava to make it better. But it was not a welcoming experience for a 4-star hotel. The hotel manager apologized for it and explained it was because of the new Spanish law. The rooms are not cosy as there are no carpets. Only one restaurant with very poor choice of drinks (only housewine by glasses, no coctails, etc). The food in the restaurant is great. We had duvk and fish, both are highly recommended. The interior and the feeling inside is a three-star budget level. Very poor service. The golf field are nice, the view is fantastic. Won't come again, but could be ok for food&golf experience.

It took us half an hour to register and get a room. Firstly, there is a large queue of guests and only one person at the reception. Secondly, everyone is forced to fill out information about themselves through the application and there are many questions. I absolutely do not understand why it is impossible to scan our passport and fill out this information to the staff, and not to the guests? In my opinion, this is the expected behavior for a four-star hotel.
