Tiefenbrunn

After booking online and arriving for an agreed late check in (from the 2 hour drive from Verona airport) the hotel was completely locked down and in darkness. I tried desperately for an hour to raise someone to let me in, pressing buzzers on the hotel and family house attached to it, calling out, knocking, phoning, and eventually I even considered sleeping in my car! Bizarrely there were lights on, but which were then turned out, so it’s quite clear they’d chosen to just let me rot! No one ever replied or came to let me in, so by 4am (yes, 4am!) I was driving around Lana desperately trying to find accommodation. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had travelling in Europe. I am so angry and tired I took video and photos from this so they can’t try to deny it! Absolutely fuming.

Been here already the third time - always a pleasure. Small hotel with a beautiful spa area close to the "center" of Lana. Not inexpensive, but worth the cost I'd say. Key points in my opinion: Excellent breakfast menu Nice, small spa area Free parking (and even charging for e cars) Beautiful, big rooms with a balcony Bikes for rent Good restaurants and leisure activities nearby
