The Vineyard

a really beautiful restaurant with rolling hills and green grass... food is excellent and good quality ... but they hold all the tables for hotel guests meaning the restaurant is often half empty and they still dont give you a table... I get it , but its annoying. The service is a bit slow and its slightly overpriced but the quality really is top. The location is practical but for me not exciting really to go to Claremont... Ive never stayed there but apparently the rooms are great

Outstanding! This hotel is so beautiful, the rooms are well equipped and the service is 10/10. I can highly recommend this beautiful place. We enjoyed two nights with our little baby and the people from the hotel did everything to make our stay unforgettable. Thanks a lot!

We came for dinner and enjoyed the evening at the Garden Lounge on the outside patio. The setting is tranquil and like a small park. The food offerings are quite extensive with many choices to suit different tastes. The dishes are of a solid, good quality and offer a good value for the money. Well would definitely return.

I only had a lunch at the hotel. It is a beautiful hotel and the restaurant is very comfortable. I ordered a smoked salmon with asparagus. I thought that with this standard of restaurant the meal would be as advertised. Unfortunately smoked trout is not smoked salmon and quantity does not make up for quality. I would still return to the restaurant as previous meals have been superb but would be more careful with my ordering

The Vineyard, is rated as a 4star Hotel but I rate The Vineyard as a 5 Star. I have stayed at The Vineyard many times, sometimes two or three times a year. Most hotels have comfortable beds, showers, baths, tv, kettle, iron, swimming pool, gym etc etc. However what other hotels do not have is the exceptional and wonderful staff that The Vineyard has. Each and every staff member goes above and beyond to deliver exceptional service and care for all visitors to the hotel not just the guests. The staff are hard working, attentive, helpful, forward thinking, caring, understanding. During my work or my travels if things go wrong, yes I will complain but if my complaint is due to bad service then I always blame management for not providing adequate training and for The Vineyard I compliment not only staff but the management also, for getting the training of their staff to such a perfection. We had the pleasure of being served at the restaurants by many people but one person will always be in my memory. Trust, one of the waiters in the courtyard restaurant, we were a group of 7, Trust was perfect in his service and care for all the guests. What stood out about Trust was that 10 minutes or so after we all left the table, I went back to my room and I received a phone call, I did not hear very well, but I heard something like “on the table” and I said to Trust “ I will come down” I figured that I may have left my my hand sanitiser on the table. When I got to the restaurant Trust came out from the kitchen holding some money, “sir you left this on the table” I had completely forgotten I had left 400Rand on the table! It would be totally understandable if Trust had thought this was an additional tip and 99% people would think that but not Trust he called to tell me and safely kept the money until I came down. 400Rand is not a lot of money in the grand scheme of things but it is the principal which Trust adheres to, honesty and he lives by his name, Trust!
