The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa

The review is for the spa, we booked 2 treatments with lunch. The massage was great, we booked it outdoors, which is in ana mazing location with a nice view and the massage was really well done, the masseuses did their best to accomodate us. But overall I was not convinced fully: we booked a treatment with changes because of my pregnancy, no remarks on the booking were there, so I had to make sure on the spot that the people knew. I was expecting a place with a nice spa where to relax also in between treatments, but the spa is extremely small, with just 3 tiny tiny pools of different temperatures. The outdoor pool is just if you stay at the hotel, which is really disappointing considering the very small spa and the expensive treatments. Overall not as good as I was expecting but if you are looking just for treatments they are good. We booked also facials, not having experience before I think they were ok. But there was no explanation of which products were used, despite the fact that the treatment should be targeted. But they do try to sell you products at the end of the treatment that should be again targeted, but they are very expensive and when asking about more specifics on the product not much was said. I like to purchase my products knowing the active ingredient and the proper purpose, so this was not really of my liking. Overall we had a good day.b

I would have loved to give this hotel a higher review but the service was lacking from the women greeters and email concierge from the hotel. We had contacted the hotel prior to our stay to book a tour to the winery’s. They sent a message with the price of 7000r for 8hour tour. Come to find out that it was only the price for the ride and we have to look and book the wineries we had to visit! Never had I experienced something like this as the concierge should have provided more details on what the price included. Despite all of this the driver has as fantastic very knowledgeable and brought us to exactly the places we were looking for. They try to charge so much for the ride transfers it is not worth it. You are better renting a car or choosing uber black much cheaper and safe! The room was nice but we had arranged special pillows prior to arrival which we entered the room to find out our details were not met. No point offering this service if not available! Location was nice quiet and peaceful really away from the city. If your looking for that this location is for you.

It deeply saddens me that I have to go to this extent, but after submitting a complaint to management and receiving their feedback, I am still not at peace with what happened to my partner and me. I have visited the 12 Apostles Leopard Bar many times and always regarded your brand as one of excellence and class. My own parents have stayed at the 12 Apostles. That is why my partner and I chose to book Azure for New Year’s Eve a special afternoon/ sunset we were looking forward to. Sadly, it turned into an experience I will never forget, for all the wrong reasons. From the moment we were seated, we were treated poorly and made to feel unwelcome. We were racially profiled and spoken about in front of us in another language that my partner understands with my partner clearly hearing waiters making hurtful and inappropriate remarks about us. The service was cold, dismissive and unprofessional. We felt uncomfortable, disrespected and humiliated. As an international luxury brand, this is completely unacceptable. Guests should feel valued, safe, and respected not judged or degraded. What happened to us went against everything your brand claims to stand for. I am deeply disappointed. The way we were treated left a lasting emotional impact and it is something I will never forget. No guest should ever walk away feeling the way we did. You need to do better not just in policy, but in real human behaviour and accountability.

We had a delightful lunch here at 12 Apostles' Leopard Bar. Generous slider burgers platter, hot wings, delightful cocktails and milkshake. Perfect location with devine views to dream, a perfect hideaway. Pius Xulu, a top hotelier assisted us with our booking giving us all the info we needed before heading there. Friendly and professional and we felt very much welcome over the phone. The hostess Siphehlise had the loveliest smile welcoming us in and the service from Sikelela was faultless and in keeping with what we have had and come to expect of this Cape Town icon. Will surely be back.

We loved our stay at 12 apostles. The staff went out and beyond to make sure we had a good stay. Lovely rooms, amazing breakfast. Good restaurants and cocktail bar. The spa treatments are fantastic. Had a shuttle running to the waterfront & Camps Bay every hour. We loved everything about our stay here and will definitely come back.
