From the moment you arrived you feel as if you have returned home. All the staff are very polite and friendly adding to that welcome feeling.
We had dinner at night in the hotel where there is a wide variety of choice. The food we had was plentiful and delicious. Again the breakfast was equally good.
If you want to add a negative there are two things noticeable in the bedroom, there is a hanger in the bathroom on the inner side of the door that in not sufficient for hanging robes and or towels. There needs to be some bath/shower towels rails/hangers and for hand towels. The other negative, which is a personal choice, the water pressure is not particularly strong.
In all, I would highly recommend this hotel which has a fabulous vitality suite.

Lovely overnight stay! Dinner was delicious, and the service was 5 star. The Thermal Spa was a lovely experience. The food was tasty and the restaurant staff are very attentive and go above and beyond. The new sharing bread and butter is delicious, a must have!!

A very well run hotel
Easy to book and friendly and efficient checkin and checkout procedures.
All staff are friendly and made us feel special.
Room are large, well maintained and comfortable. Just some very minor things that could improve - more clothes hangers and a couple of coat hooks for storing clothes. More comfortable chairs

Just had a funeral tea at Gailes and cannot praise the fantastic staff enough. Small gathering of family and friends enjoyed a private setting, lovely coffee, tea, sandwiches and cake. Fresh / tasty and regular top ups. Absolutely perfect venue complimented by very attentive and caring staff. Thanks guys - a difficult time made nicer thanks to your efforts.

I recently visited The Gailes for a birthday spa break with my partner. We had some initial stress regarding a booking through a new third-party site, but the team at the hotel were absolute professionals in helping us resolve it. I want to say a huge thank you to Christina, Alison, and Shauna, who were all so helpful over the phone in ensuring the hotel could honor the booking at a great rate.
Our bedroom was beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean; it completely exceeded our expectations. In fact, the hotel and spa were so pristine that it almost felt like we were the very first guests to ever use the facilities! The hospitality continued when we arrived; the lovely woman at reception was so kind and even managed to move our dinner reservation earlier for us. Dinner was stunning—the salmon and prawn starter and Balmoral chicken were gorgeous, and my partner’s fillet steak was unbelievable.
A huge shout out to Raymond, our server, who looked after us all evening. I did notice the dessert menu is quite limited for gluten-free diets (the ice cream wasn't GF and the only listed option was sorbet), but Raymond kindly advised that they could do a gluten-free cheeseboard with GF oatcakes, even though this wasn't stated on the menu. It was a great alternative!
The Spa (The Absolute Highlight!)
The spa was exceptionally clean—even in those hard-to-reach areas that usually get forgotten about—and it felt absolutely gorgeous. We felt completely at ease. While the Thermal and Vitality experience was a great start, the treatments were the standout. I can honestly say it was the best massage and facial both my partner and I have ever received. Massive thanks to Cat and Fabia for their expertise—we will definitely be back for those treatments alone!
