The Chedi El Gouna

We just got back from beautiful El Gouna, where we stayed at the Chedi Hotel. What a fantastic hotel with excellent service, great restaurants, and super friendly staff. They made our stay wonderful. Special thanks to the reception staff for arranging our medication when we needed it. I also want to thank Ahmed for the clean room, Milanya and Beshoy for the welcome and service at breakfast, and not to forget Haidi, who is always there for the guests. Thank you, Chedi Hotel and all the staff, for a wonderful week. Thank you for your great care, and we will definitely be back.

I don’t even know where to start. You will absolutely not regret booking this hotel. We had a complimentary upgrade to beachside rooms, waking up to a view of the sea was pure magic. This hotel literally blew our minds, we arrived from Luxor for some rest and relaxation and we were blown away from start to finish. The hotel itself is stylish and modern, the sea is crystal clear and the food is wonderful. The staff however are just beyond words, they are so attentive and kind, they offer to help with anything you may need. I must add a special mention for macarius George at reception who helped me order pain relief which was delivered to my room within the hour. There is literally nothing they can’t help with or do, the maintenance guy even helped fix my mother’s walking stick. Ibrahim at the beach bar was the kindest soul, attentive and smiley. Abdullah at breakfast who remembered exactly what coffees and juices we ordered, just wow. The guys on the beach were so attentive and ensure we had towels as soon as we got out the sea, wind breaks and even cleaned our sunglasses. The housekeepers have the rooms so clean and comfortable. Breakfast was on another level, with the à la carte menu and the vast, fresh and delicious buffet. I could literally go on forever and ever, I have stayed in some wonderful places but this hotel is up there with the best. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We recently stayed at The Chedi El Gouna for 5 nights. Without a doubt, it is the most luxurious hotel in the area. The décor throughout the hotel is absolutely stunning, and waking up in our sea view room overlooking the coastline was a treat every single morning. The pool area is just as impressive — calm, beautifully designed and relaxing. The service was exceptional from start to finish. We felt genuinely well looked after, especially travelling with a baby, which made such a difference to our stay. A special mention has to go to Mohammed, our housekeeper, who made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, and breakfast was excellent — a wide selection of made-to-order egg dishes, alongside pastries, sweet options, smoothies and great coffee. Everything was fresh. The front of house team were also fantastic and extremely helpful when dealing with our late checkout request, which we really appreciated. Staying at The Chedi truly made our trip — it was the highlight of our time in El Gouna. The location is perfect, and a short tuk-tuk ride (which the hotel can arrange for you) takes you anywhere you want to go. We often headed to the downtown and marina areas for dinner, which were easily accessible. If you’re looking for luxury, outstanding service and a beautiful, peaceful hotel, The Chedi is absolutely the place to stay in El Gouna.

Phenomenal stay at the Chedi El Gouna! We left yesterday and already miss the Chedi El Gouna! Some of our highlights: 1/ Special shout out to our housekeeper Hosam who was so lovely and made sure our room was in great condition. He was also amazing with towel art so we got to come back to a new creation each day! 2/ Breakfast buffet is definitely a must with a great selection of food and drinks! My personal favorites were the fresh mango and pomegranates! The pyramid croissants are also definitely worth a try. 3/ We had a slightly bumpy start with check in but the staff went above and beyond to remediate. The GM Philipp was incredible and the definition of kind professionalism. 4/ We got a beachfront room and it was totally worth it! We were able to walk directly onto the beach. 5/ We booked a private boat tour and it was incredible! The reefs were stunning and we even got to swim with wild dolphins!

We had such a great stay at The Chedi in El Gouna. The resort is absolutely beautiful — peaceful, spotless, and one of those places where you feel relaxed the moment you arrive. A big thank you to Macarious George, our Experience Ambassador. He took amazing care of us and made everything easy. Everyone on the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. Sama, Mai, and Matilda at the spa are absolutely amazing!!! If you’re visiting El Gouna, we’d absolutely recommend staying here. We loved it and would come back in a heartbeat.
