We stayed here off-season (December 15-17) so it almost felt like we were alone in the entire hotel. We only saw a few other people. Since it was off-season I think we got a good price, since the spa was included. The staff was also very helpful and professional.
The breakfast was ok. The restaurant menu was very limited and the food was mediocre. We dined here the first night but ended up driving to a nearby village the next evening. The drinks at the bar were good. However I struggle to see this being a luxury 5-star hotel, it’s more of a really good 4-star one.

Great area to stay near the wineries. The restaurant food was really superb, large portions, and our server Elisa had great recommendations. (Try the quail cacciatore) The Spa was the only disappointing part of the stay. Have to give a special shoutout to Matteo at the bar - great bartender/mixologist and excellent hospitality.

Safe for a PoC? Yes 5/5.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Everyone from Front desk to Housekeeping did a professional job.
The room was modern and clean.
The Spa was nice but 40€ is a bit pricey.
I would also prefer two towels: one for the flatbed and one for the sauna.
We had a rental car so it was easy to explore the area - only 40min to Taormina.
Free Parking.

Great hotel, fully renovated. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. I loved the shower and the space it has. Breakfast was good, maybe lacking more options in terms of hot beverages. I heard during the last day about it but nobody approached us to offer. The location is really close to the best wineries and to small towns and their authentic restaurants.
Finally, I see 2 issues at the hotel: the lady in the reception that was helpless, you ask tips around the hotel she knows nothing and seems bothered, you have a question about the payment and she gets upset… and the fact that even staying in a Deluxe room you have to pay 50 euros x person for 2 hours at the spa. For an hotel of this level, in the countryside the min would be to offer the spa for those staying there.

To start with, the location is fantastic if you’re looking for peace and quiet — it’s tucked away in a remote setting, which makes it feel like a real escape, with Mount Etna in the background.
The hotel has recently been recently remodeled, and it shows. The rooms are spacious, modern, and beautifully decorated, giving a fresh and comfortable atmosphere.
Breakfast was very good with a nice selection and quality ingredients.
That said, there are a few small downsides that I would not expect at a five-star property. The rooms, while stylish, lack some of the expected amenities — for instance, no body lotion was provided. Access to the spa isn’t always included in the room rate and has to be paid for separately and booked in advance. Pool towels aren’t readily available unless you ask, and the breakfast menu isn’t proactively shared — you only get it if you specifically request it.
Overall, this is a great hotel: quiet, beautifully updated, with great views and facilities. With a few extra touches in service and amenities, it could easily rise to the next level.
