Ngala Safari Lodge

I stayed here as part of a tour, and I was blown away! The room was luxurious, the food was fantastic, and most of all, the game drives were spectacular. Our guides Barney and Vusi are knowledgeable, engaging, and care deeply about the animals. The staff took care of all of our needs, and made us feel welcome and at home in this beautiful place. And yes, elephants came to drink at the pool every day at lunchtime (14-15 at a time!).

What a special trip for me and my wife in 2022. Utterly impeccable from start to finish. Went on all the drives, saw all the big ones. Food excellent, elephants drinking from the pool, zebra eating a Kudu up a tree. Outstanding.

I don't write reviews ever but I can't even begin to describe how incredible this place is and felt I needed to write one for Ngala. I would recommend this lodge to everyone and anyone I know or that asks. The food was delicious, the property was beautiful, the wildlife was incredible but the STAFF. The staff was unforgettable. Everyone was so nice and great at their jobs. Have to give a special shoutout to our ranger and tracker Mac and Siya. My mom and I asked a million questions and Mac knew everything and was so passionate about the animals and helping us see everything we hoped. I'm already dreaming about when I can go back!

I absolutely loved my stay here! The rooms are beautiful and luxurious, the service is next-level, food is delicious, and the game viewing is breathtaking. They pay so much attention to every little detail and it makes for a really perfect safari!

My wife and I were very impressed by the professionalism, friendliness, and the incredible quality of the people involved in our safari at Ngala. We were very happy with the fantastic meals and wondered how they could such a good job in a relatively remote area. We especially loved the wildlife drives topped by the nice coffee breaks and sundowners. None of the drives were disappointing even if we didn’t see the animals we hoped to see. Watching the sun go down over a dried out river bed, a nice drink, and great company compensated for the uncooperative animals. Special shout out to Amy our wildlife guide who was a superb host.
