Mar Hall Golf & Spa Resort

Came here for a work team away day. We all travelled from the UK (London, Swindon, Ireland etc). We were blown away by the settings and grounds of this place. Beautifully decorated with a real sense of old and new. I stayed in garden spa suite room. So cute. The food really is gourmet and every single experience was impressive. The whisky and Gin tasting evening was eye opening and the mixologist was fab. Cocktails, Spa, food and general ambience is of a 5* standard. This ranks highly in my books. A must visit if you are visiting Scotland. #I❤️Scottishpeople. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We visited here for the festive period to celebrate Christmas as a 3 day break. The location is great, very peaceful, though there are parts where there is maintenance on-going. This will look stunning in the spring /summer months with all the outdoor areas open. The hotel is beautiful, luxurious but also relaxing. The staff are wonderful and always happy to help. There is a lovely atmosphere to relax in. There are plenty of common areas to sit and relax in, though they still need to do a little work on heating. The food was first class, perhaps except the cooked buffet breakfast which was a little underwhelming for a 5 star hotel. The rooms were lovely, we had a garden spa room as we had our little dog with us. The rooms are well appointed and really nice. Though more storage wouldn't go amiss. Wr had a lovely time here and would certainly visit again. Point to note if taking a dog: while the hotel is dog friendly, and there are plenty of bedrooms for accommodating a dog, there are not many areas in the hotel tk take your dog, really only 1 room. This could be improved on.

I recently stayed at Mar Hall, and it is honestly one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in. From the moment you arrive, everything about the place feels special. The setting is stunning, with gorgeous grounds and incredible views, and it’s also very convenient being close to the airport. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning — the design, décor, and attention to detail throughout are exceptional. The grounds are immaculate and so peaceful, and the overall atmosphere feels luxurious without being stuffy. The staff were truly lovely and made the stay even better — warm, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. The food was beautiful, and the drinks were just as good; everything felt well thought out and high quality. The bedroom was gorgeous, comfortable, and immaculately presented, with stunning views that really added to the experience. Every part of the hotel, from the public spaces to the rooms, feels carefully designed and incredibly well maintained. Overall, Mar Hall is a fantastic hotel and easily one of my favourite places I’ve ever stayed. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough and would absolutely love to return.

Visited the main restaurant for a birthday celebration. Service was exemplary - very attentive, no mistakes or issues. Quality of the food is fine, not outstanding. The starters are classic nouvelle cuisine, tiny portions, large prices. The main meal and accompaniments were good quality, well prepared but a tad luke warm - not hot, as they should be. Definitely a four star rating not a five.

It’s a beautiful hotel, we got upgraded to a bigger room without knowing. The rooms are new (2 weeks) and very very nice! However there’s a feeling some things are not yet on top - service wise. Like we asked for extra towels and didn’t get them. The cleaning left a dirty glass in the room. Food at the restaurant took more then an hour to get… And for small kids (3.5) as of now there is nothing for them to do… (There’s a heated pool) plus to get to our room you need to open 7 doors. So if you’re coming with a stroller ask to be at the main building. Other than that Lee the consiarge was absolutely amazing!!! Could be the nicest guy we ever met!! He was so helpful and friendly. Also cocktails were great!
