A place you will want to keep returning, I book for the following year as I'm leaving
With different tee boxes making it play as a different course every day
The food at Hov Gård is as good as it gets
All the staff are super friendly and helpful

Unbelievable golf course. These holes are stunning beyond belief and situated in unworldly beauty. These holes are challenging, even more so if the wind is high as we had at the end of season. Unforgiving is not even close but super enjoyable. I hit 98 but felt like a 78 considering the nature of the course and conditions. Best round of my life. Yes tee boxes are not club standard and the scorecards need to be improved but this is not why you came to the lofoten links.

One of the most unique golf courses in the world. Conditions are not on par with other $275/round courses but the location is amazing and the views are one of a kind. Wouldn't fly to Lofoten just to play it but if you are a golfer in Lofoten you probably have to try it once. Driving range is awful (180 meter maximum, bad condition), no online tee time portal is odd, and the price is ridiculous which might explain why it was wide open on a late September evening. Even souvenir golf towels were $70, that's almost 3x what they are at the Old Course. Probably should be 3 stars but it's just too unique.

Unbelievable experience here last year, drove up from the UK which was an unreal time in itself, but on arriving here I was not disappointed, the service from the team was great and the surroundings are out of this world, with the accommodation perfect with some brilliant views!! The golf course is unlike any other I've played, and yes you won't necessarily get pristing conditions, but this is a links course......in the Arctic circle, just enjoy the journey and the experience of getting to play in the midnight sun........if you get a chance to go, do it!!!

Lofoten Links is somewhere I've been wanting to get to for years. They say that part of the adventure is getting here and that's absolutely true.
The rugged landscape is reflected in the course itself. You won't find perfectly manicured fairways like you would at other destination courses. Some conditions are understandable given a rough winter in the Arctic tundra (e.g. abysmal greens) where others are not. Lofoten has some of the most uneven tee boxes I've ever seen at a course.
Certain parts of management could be improved upon as well. The fact that a premium course in a rainy environment only has scorecards printed on computer paper is insane to me.
Overall, this is a peaceful place in an unreal setting. But if I were given a choice of a remote course, I'd choose Cabot Cliffs or Cape Wickham 10 times out of 10. I'm hoping that Cabot's investment does more than just bring caddies here
