Lanzerac

We have stayed in some fantastic hotels over the years and the Lanzerac is right up there with the best of them. The service was impeccable and the staff make you feel like royalty which really adds to the experience. Rooms are lovely and ours had its own garden and fronted onto a lovely courtyard swimming pool.

Historic restaurant with a classic antique design dating back nearly 300 years, with a calm atmosphere. We ordered Wagyu steak starting from 750 rand and beef bone marrow. The steak was excellent and among the best in Stellenbosch. The crème brûlée was recommended and very good. Prices are moderate and reasonable. There was some minor disturbance due to a drink bottle being accidentally broken twice by the staff, but it did not significantly affect the overall experience.

I was so blown away by everything about this wine farm. The first person who assisted us was Steve. The warmest welcome, the friendliest smile, went the extra mile on a busy day to make sure we had all the info we needed and made us feel immediately at home. What a valuable person to have at your establishment, he left a lasting impression. We ate at the Deli - wine and food was excellent and so reasonably priced. The waitress was amazing. Something to mention - while we sat in the courtyard for our meal, there was a steady stream of staff that passed by our section (because of where we were seated). Every single staff member that happened to walk past us would make eye contact, smile and greet. From the waiters to grounds and general staff. Everyone seemed to happy to be there. It made such an impression. We walked around the farm, grounds are immaculate and majestic. Again, every staff member we encountered was so friendly and happy. I will be visiting Lanzerac often. Such excellence!!

Our first visit to Lanzerac was delightful. The warm ambiance of the rooms is surpassed by their excellent wines and their wines were complemented beautifully by the fantastic service. We had Amber introducing the wines to us in our tasting. Not only was she extremely knowledgeable and pleasant but her love for what she does shined through. She turned a tasting of good wines into a memorable experience that we will tell all our friends about. Definitely plan to return.

I took my girlfriend to the Manor Kitchen for a 7-course meal to celebrate our 1-year anniversary, and it was an unforgettable experience. The food was incredible, with each course paired beautifully with a different wine. The chefs truly outdid themselves, and the waiters were friendly and attentive throughout the evening. I would definitely recommend the 7-course meal. It is an amazing experience. My girlfriend and I now have a special place in our hearts for the Manor Kitchen after sharing such a memorable moment together there.
