Kings Camp Private Game Reserve

A truly unbelievable and unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived at the beautiful entrance of Kings Camp, we were treated like royalty. The grounds, décor and styling are elegant, refined and effortlessly classy. Our room and bathroom were incredibly spacious, with a fully stocked complimentary mini-bar, wonderfully comfortable beds, and a private plunge pool perfect for cooling off. The food was sensational, and the drinks flowed freely — it’s a genuine 5-star experience (we’d give it more if we could!). What really blew us away were the surprises: breakfast out in the bush, a private dinner outside our room, and on our final night, an intimate dinner in a hidden corner of the property with the whole group, including our game driver. The game drives themselves were extraordinary. We saw so many animals — a newborn elephant being one of the standout moments — but what truly sets Kings Camp apart is the people. Every single member of staff goes above and beyond. They’re incredibly attentive, personable and genuinely happy. You can feel how much they love what they do. They are, without question, the heart of this place. A special shout-out to our game driver and spotters, “Remember” and “Elvis”. Their relentless effort to track animals, their knowledge, humour and even a little tipsy from the sun downers (and bush mix!). We could go on and on about how wonderful Kings Camp is. Had an absolutely stellar safari experience at Kings Camp. Our guide and tracker went above and beyond to find wildlife for us and share their wealth of knowledge, all while making us feel comfortable and secure. Lodgings and food were excellent - how often can you say you were greeted by giraffe, kudu, and other wildlife right from your own private deck!? And don't forget the underground photography hide! On top of all of that, the staff was friendly and made us all feel like family. A terrific facility and great adventure!

It’s not often that we’re lost for words, but our experience at Kings Camp was a dream come true! The staff are exceptional at making you feel welcome and at ease from the moment you arrive. The hospitality and attentiveness is not temporary, it continues for the entirety of your stay. You truly feel part of their family and community. The suite was exceptional with an attention to detail and comfort not seen many times, if ever, at other hotels or lodges. The food was always of the highest standard and quality and provided excellent variety and choice. My wife is coeliac so has to have an adapted menu due to needing a strict gluten free diet and this was provided from the moment of arrival and all staff were aware of this need. We did not need to remind or mention it again. The Safari experience was nothing short of magical. Our guide Remember and tracker Elvis were so skilled, calm and professional. Watching them work was almost as joyous as viewing all of the incredible animals and wildlife we were able to view. We were able to see interactions and behaviours from the big five that we will never forget. The luxury and splendour of Kings Camp will never not impress, but it is the people who made this such a unique experience. The team go above and beyond for their guests. Kings Camp is a very special place that we will truly never forget. We visited on our honeymoon and couldn't have picked a more perfect place for the two of us. The staff and their level of service, the accommodations, the food, the game drives and everything else was out of this world. It almost feels surreal that we were there, and we were always very excited for every single game drive. Our guide, Neil, and our tracker, Donald, helped us with seeing everything we wanted to see and more - including the big 5, a cheetah, painted dogs, hyenas and more. They were also a lot of fun to hang out with. Neil was incredibly knowledgeable and patient whenever anyone had questions about the wildlife. He also helped us great some incredible pictures. The thing that stands out the most after looking back on our stay was how present we were. I had no desire to be on the phone, other than taking pictures. The only bad part about the whole trip was needing to leave! We hope to visit Kings Camp again, it will always hold a place in my heart.

My experience at Kings Camp left me absolutely speechless. I’m still struggling to find the words to capture just how incredible and life-changing our stay was. The amount of thought and care put into every moment of each day is truly astonishing. The surprises along the way—wow! I never knew hospitality could reach this level. If you have allergies or food preferences, this is the place to be. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my needs, and their kindness and attention made me feel completely at ease. Over our five days, the team didn’t just take care of us—they became like friends and family. Our ranger, Neil, and tracker, Donald, were an absolute joy. Their knowledge and passion made every drive unforgettable, and they always went the extra mile to ensure we had the best views. Watching the stars with them on our final evening drive is a memory I’ll always treasure. I’ll admit, I left with tears in my eyes, but also with a full heart. I cannot wait to return to Kings Camp—it is truly one of the most extraordinary places I’ve ever been. Thank you for making our honeymoon so special! ❤️
