Iberostar Selection Andalucia Playa

Really enjoyed 7 night stay. Excellent all inclusive. Buffet diners were great - lots of variety and high quality food. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The arrival for our group of 12 was so lovely and the staff particularly in the bar were brilliant with the group for the whole stay. A kettle in the rooms would be even better and an arrangement with the local beach loungers particularly for the last few hours in the afternoon.

ALL of the great reviews on here we completely endorse!.. We had a magically, unforgettable experience from start to finish! Iberostar staff are fantastic.. dedicated to making your stay the very best it can be.. with thoughtful and delightful 'surprises' woven into the experience.. It was so nice to be recognised as an IHG member.. we didn't realise there was an affiliation.. and we loved hearing the stories and experiences of staff working all around the world in different Iberostars.. their valuable experience shines through!!! Check in with Jaime set the tone.. relaxed, super friendly, attentive, informative ...with an unexpected, generous offer of lovely, chilled Freixenet Cava and delicious Macarons! Our car was whisked off to a cool underground car park... and although we'd planned to explore the area... we were so entranced by our stay.. we didn't see it again until we left! Our pool terrace room was again.. an unexpected luxury.. with our own sumptuous sunbeds overlooking the pool and sea... David and Jesus ... in fact.. the whole buffet team could not have been more welcoming.. with again.. an unexpected aperitif on arrival in the evening.. and gloriously fresh orange juice and cava at breakfast!... Ruben made our second night .. with great service and humour.. and please smile and say 'cheese' to the lovely lady on the cheese counter.. she's a real authority on choosing a selection that's perfect for your taste.. Inma kept our room spotless and the fresh coffee machine and chocolates were much appreciated.. Check out was the worst part for us! The staff were so nice.. they made it much too hard to leave! We'd felt like VIP's... (and we're sure most guests do too...) The buffet offering is superb.. with fresh Oysters, prawns, salmon, langostinos.. alongside Asian, Grill and Chef's Speciality stations... delicious! There was live music and dancing on the Friday and Saturday evenings.. where we unexpectedly made new friends of dancing guests.. The WOW entrance, beautiful grounds and building, sparkling pool and setting on the beach are a little piece of heaven..all mentioned in other reviews.. We went to the Dunas Beach Bar .. which, although not affiliated to Iberostar.. has truly warm and welcoming staff eager to serve cool beer, rebujito and good food... Highly recommended! The atmosphere and decor was much more inviting than the Soul chiringuito nearest our hotel.. Absolutely LOVED it all!!! Thank you!!! Here's to being back with you sometime soon!

Stayed there all for 4 days with all inclusive package. Was quite let down by the quality of the food. The pool side bar food wasnt good, and main restaurant buffet had average food at best. The dedicated meat and dishes sections sometimes had very long queues and the wait was not worth it in my opinion. I thought that the hotel put more emphasis on looks rather than taste. The rest of the hotel was ok, although big letdown with parking spot being charged and it being very expensive (30€ per day). Given the price of the hotel and the reviews online, honestly was expecting much better from it. Service was a saving grace, as everyone was very nice.

We have returned to this beautiful hotel and location for many years, and will continue to do so! Lovely food, rooms and great service. What makes it exceptional are the staff, who are so committed to making the holiday experience, an unforgettable one. A special mention must go to Bertolet, who works at the bar. He is incredibly efficient at ensuring every guest is served, while still making time to chat to them. We look forward to seeing him every year! He embodies the very best of this wonderful hotel.

Great location by the nicest beach we have ever seen. Top-notch service from the front desk, Staffa at the restaurants to the cleaning service. Very enjoyable and non-intrusive evening performances. Plenty of sunbeds, great and varied pools. For families with children - there is a paddling pool in the hotel itself, but you can also enjoy all (and numerous) children's activities at the Iberostar Waves hotel next door. And most importantly - food, ah is food! Outstanding. Theoretically a hotel buffet, and you get food mostly prepared fresh, refined in every way both in taste and appearance. For the octopus and steaks alone we will return. Thank you for your warm welcome and the whole stay! (Our baby Maria loved this place as well and would like to come back asap :))
