Hotel Zeerust

For my stay on Texel this time I chose "Hotel Zeerust Texel" in "De Koog" where I stayed from Saturday to Thursday as a hotel guest. The daily breakfast from 08:00 is neatly taken care of. The staff is nice and helpful. There is a lift that gave access to my floor. I am convinced that there are a number of rooms that can only be reached by stairs. Coffee and tea are freely available throughout the day when the "Restaurant section" is open. (So coffee and tea are not in the rooms) In the evenings until breakfast the restaurant is closed. My room was equipped with an excellent double bed, a desk, sufficient sockets and lighting, a bathroom with shower and toilet. The hotel is within walking distance of the "Shopping street" where you can also find many restaurants. Parking is possible in the parking spaces available at the hotel, for cyclists there is a bicycle shed with power point (220v). If I understand correctly, there is also bicycle rental. All in all a hotel that I can recommend.

We spent one night in this hotel, the room was cosy, suspicious, and super clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. They speak good English. It's close to the beach. Electric bike renting services are available.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Zeerust in De Koog, Texel, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The hotel’s location is simply unbeatable, nestled conveniently close to both the charming village center and the stunning beachfront, making it an ideal base for exploring the island. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm and welcoming, providing top-notch service that made my stay exceptionally comfortable. The room was beautifully appointed with modern decor and equipped with all the necessary amenities to ensure a pleasant and relaxing stay. Each morning, I was treated to a delicious and hearty breakfast that offered a variety of fresh, quality options to start the day right. The only minor issue was the sleeping arrangement; the room had two single beds pushed together that tended to separate if you moved too much. This was a slight inconvenience, but it did not detract significantly from the overall comfort and quality of the stay. The hotel also boasts a cozy warm drink ( free of charge whole day)bar and lounge area that provides a perfect setting to unwind after a day of sightseeing or beach activities. The ambiance here is peaceful, with a laid-back charm that invites you to relax and enjoy your surroundings. Overall, my experience at Hotel Zeerust was nothing short of wonderful. It’s a place that combines comfort, convenience, and friendly service with a lovely atmosphere. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Texel and look forward to returning in the future. Despite the bed setup, the hotel’s many positives far outweigh this small drawback.

great stay, ideal location, easy access to beach an cycling paths, great ebike renting. Generous breakfast, beautiful sierra, good service overall. Rooms were fine, nice jet bathtub, Rituals toiletries, clean, good heating if needed. Wonderful stay overall. only downside - seems the Drains do have a bad smell, perhaps use room scented sticks to control the smell and close the drains.A usual problem on islands. Will return though, and hopefully to a better smelling room :)

Hotel Zeerust is in a great location in De Koog, just past the main street and with both car parking and covered bike parking available. Early check in doesn’t seem to be available so best to arrive at around 1pm or later. Breakfast was great with ample variety from bread, cold cuts, cheese, yoghurt, fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon, etc. Unfortunately the rooms aren’t spotless - mine had some dusty edges and windows, and strange purple stains on the bathroom walls. The room just felt a bit dated, but was comfortable enough.
