Hotel Golf Campoamor I

A rather disappointing course given a price of €104 for a single and buggy. Some greens are like patchwork quilt due to repair inserts on the greens. Given they lost the green’s a couple of years ago, this is somewhat concerning. The booking system is useless too as I booked off first and finished the front nine in 61 mins only to find 3 groups in front on the back. Terrible, terrible management of this course!!

Its december and off season. I went for a late afternoon game without pre-reservation. No one in front or behind me, made it a very pleasurful experience. Did the 9 holes in roughly 1hrs 15m. Interesting and strategically challenging layout, as you need to consider where the ball will roll at etc. Fun to play. Sad to see the other reviews, that during high season the experience seems to be different. While I‘ve only played the front 9, I‘ll come again to play the back 9 holes :)

We had a lovely meal at the restaurant at Hotel Golf Campoamor, and it really exceeded expectations. The setting is peaceful and scenic, perfect for a relaxing lunch or dinner with friends or family. The food was excellent. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavour, served simply with sea salt - exactly how a good piece of meat should be. The salad was also a standout: fresh ingredients, generous portions, and a colourful mix of vegetables, cheese, nuts, and tuna that made it both delicious and satisfying. Service was friendly and efficient, and the whole experience felt easy and enjoyable. Whether you’re staying at the hotel or just visiting the area, this restaurant is definitely worth a stop. Highly recommended.

Played this course today and unfortunately will not be returning. Having booked two buggies in advance we were notified upon arrival that due to rain the night before no buggies could be used ……. But no refunds! We were then told to get a pull trolley from a storeroom, with no assistance, as the only alternative to a buggy. We had the last pull trolleys and everyone after us had to carry! The other negative reviews are absolutely accurate. While the course layout shows potential it is completely let down by the current condition of the course ….. especially the greens. Every cut of green rolled at a different pace, making putting a total lottery. Some were patchy and bumpy, others fast in sections and slow in others, with no consistency whatsoever. It felt neglected. Beyond that, the overall maintenance is far below standard for the fees charged. Facilities are tired, the fairways patchy, and there's a general lack of attention or care throughout the course. There's no evidence of active course management or attempts to improve the experience. The staff are disinterested to the point of rudeness. The general feeling is that they have your money and that’s all they care about! We will be taking our buggy refund up with the management. Unless there’s a change in ownership or serious investment in maintenance and management, I don’t see this course developing into the quality venue it has the potential to be. I only hope the hotel guests get treated better considering the rate they are paying.

Extremely Poor Experience - Living in the apartments We had booked an apartment for 6 people with 3 bedrooms, but upon arrival, we were told it was unavailable because the air conditioning was supposedly broken. Instead, we were given two smaller apartments in the same building, but not close to each other. This completely ruined our plan to stay together as a group. What was most bizarre was that the apartment we had originally reserved (no. 59), which was claimed to be “out of order,” was rented out to two different families during our first week. This felt like extremely poor service and very unprofessional on the hotel’s part. The apartments we were given were worn down and looked like something from the 1980s. The quality was low, and the beds were basically like camp mattresses – very uncomfortable to sleep on. The place was also extremely noisy, and every morning between 7 and 8 AM, we were woken up by noise coming from the very apartment we had originally booked. In general, the whole place is in desperate need of a complete renovation: - The air conditioning is extremely loud - The dishwasher, washing machine, and grill are all old and barely functional - The interior is outdated and worn The hotel has 4 padel courts 2 glass and 2 old concrete in very bad condition. The tennis courts are also in poor condition: nets are broken, and the surface feels like it’s made of loose stones. Overall, the stay was a big disappointment, and we were left with a very bad impression of the place. I will not be returning.
