Golfclub Der Öschberghof is a course hidden in the forest of the hotel Öschberghof, and it's amazingly fabulous 😍. Basically this is the best condition version of typical German courses, not too much design but well organized. Like the river flows through in between Hole 5&6, a nice way as a break of your 1st 35% of the game. And you play all the way to Hole 14 (Par 3), you'll then realize that the river flows into the pond in between the tee box and the green, very romantic design I have to say. And starting from Hole 14, that's when your game at Golfclub Der Öschberghof begins, followed by Hole 15, a Par 5, water on the right and bushes on the left of the fairway in front of the green, very challenging while nice scenery. Last but not the least, I like how the green of Hole 18 is situated in front of the clubhouse, so elegant while powerful, definitely the best way to wrap up the 18 holes here at Golfclub Der Öschberghof.

Absolut fantastic - love everything about it

This is a true golf experience. Passion and professionalism for the golf sport. Hence we visit here couple if times per year. 45 very good holes with each course having its own character. For the course conditions it is a safe bet to be amongst the best in the region and always stable. Typically greens on East Course are firm and fast. Large greens that can be demanding to read while the course is easy to play especially when the rough is gone. And then you have days with wind and the rough and here comes the challenge. On Old Course, which is still the favorite for many, greens tend to be slower and sticky, but I guess greenkeeping is paying tribute to its players frequency on the traditional but relatively wide parkland course. The marshal and the old club manger, which are both in retirement age and still around - both are icons of a kind of old Ö-family. Today you have many young faces that have to build their more youthful spirit around that heritage where some individual founded this place for the joy of golf. You have become to what you are for us neither because of nice branding with fancy logos and ambassadors, nor because of 5* hotel and 2* restaurant. Please keep the golf on good level and keep your experience accessible like your founder's business Aldi is accessible to everyone that wants to go there. Hence a 4star rating expressing some concern that this is to become a place for an exclusivity.

THE New resort. I havent been there for 2 years many things change many remain same. I seen big investment. Great jog on practice area, its very nice and proffesional, very pleasant staff who is also helping lot. This brings the review bit higher. What drops it is East course, not my favorite design, course is nothing special, from design point of view. Quality of the greens is perfect, weekest point are fairways which are hard with many bad spots, probably from weather. Tee boxes are hard as concrete difficult to stick tee in. Intersting holes are number 8, 9, 16, 17, 18, the rest you will forgot right away. Old course is the real gem there. Price of the green fee is a crazy for such a quality, for Old course its OK. Dressing room is great with lot of space, from service angle all good there. Weak point is also restaurant, they are not organized and used to busy business, they have problem with orders. So will consider my returning to her since its quite lot of travel to spend my money there if I can get for my money better quality and feeling.
