Fletcher Parkhotel De Wiemsel

Nice cosy hotel with spacious rooms and a great wellness area. Had a fabulous stay here. Friendly people and good breakfast.

The stay was fine. Or as the teens would say, ‘mid’. It’s the 2nd time we stayed here. The previous time was under the previous owner (before the Fletcher take over). We rebooked the hotel specifically for the restaurant, but were disappointed because the restaurant is not the same quality it was previously. The chef’s menu isn’t a real chef’s menu but merely a preselected set of dishes from the a la carte menu. Wine suggestions were made but no wine pairing were done specific to each dish as one can expect from a decent chef’s menu. Waiters could not give clear information about dishes beforehand regarding food intolerances and allergens. Dishes on the menu with a vegan label weren’t really vegan and still contained cream or butter upon questioning. Although some of the dishes could be served lactose free, the lactose free version was clearly inferiour - most of the time it was then served without the sauce which made it extremely dry. This is especially disappointing because we specifically checked the menu before booking our stay to make sure that there would be vegan options which would then by default be lactose free. Although the rest of the stay was pleasant, the downgrade of the restaurant means that I don’t have a reason to stay there again in the future.

Kind of an island of fun and luxury. Great pool and saunas which are very clean and well taken care of. THE FOOD AND DINING IS TOP NOTCH! Really amazing- truly. I was there in the Winter but in warmer months there are outdoor seating areas and a pool and the grounds are well manicured and cared for. Update: (21-9-2025) Just having another amazing stay. Did a sauna, swam in the pool and had an AMAZING dining experience 🤩 And their wine pairings are unbelievable. This place is a class act.

Had a wonderful stay overnight in this beautiful hotel. Loved the swimming pools and the room. So relaxing. The staff were lovely. Thanks to Hendrik and Jasper at the bar who served excellent G&T and wine. Will definitely be back.

We just concluded (July 2021) a week-long stay at Parkhotel de Wiemsel. Everything was of very high quality. The hotel is very clean and well looked after. The beds are very comfortable (although the pillows could have been a little firmer) the pools and the spa are heavenly. The atmosphere is relaxed and dignified. The breakfast buffet had a large variety of very fresh options and was high quality. Dinner in the restaurant is also a pleasure. Oostmarsum is a lovely little town and the center of town is walkable from the hotel especially on a pleasant day. On Sunday you could see that the hotel had less staff scheduled so service on Sunday was quite slow, but still more than adequate. We really LOVED the hotel and will gladly book it again in the future.
