El Plantío Golf Resort

Lovely well equipped hotel room with microwave, dishwasher,cooker etc but no kettle 😕 plus hotel is miles away from beach and shops and cost us a lot of money in taxi fares.£25 to San Juan beach and £25 back and that was only the one day.

When you really value the experience, confort, peace and your sanity above all else, *yet* you want to still be close to "civilization" for (some?) reason ... ... you cannot go wrong here. The place is a must, and, this, whether you like to have your walks spoiled by a hard plastic ball or not. Truly recommended. Breakfast worth the stay, alone. Cannot miss.-

We arrived very late with 3 young children and had booked a room for 5, confirming two days in advance that everything would be ready, including the baby cot. Despite this, upon arrival, we were asked to pay double the room rate, as their system supposedly only recognized 2 guests—even though our booking clearly showed 5. After over an hour of exhausting back-and-forth at the reception, with our children extremely tired and cranky, we were finally allowed into the room. To our shock, the room was already prepared for 5, with the baby cot in place, proving that this demand for extra payment was completely unnecessary. This is an attempt to take advantage of guests’ fatigue and is absolutely unacceptable and shameful.

El Plantío Golf Resort is a peaceful retreat just outside Alicante, perfect for golf lovers and families. Spacious apartments with full kitchens and beautiful golf course views make for a relaxing stay. The golf courses are well-maintained and offer a great experience for all skill levels. The pool area is calm and inviting, ideal for unwinding. While the on-site dining is okay, having a kitchen lets you explore local restaurants nearby. Renting a car is recommended to get the most out of your visit.

A much better golf course than Alicante Golf - better location, better kept, and the staff were welcoming and polite & know how to treat guests. Only downside was the time it took to play 18 holes - 5 hours and that was in a buggy. Not sure whether it was slow play ahead of us or too many golfers on the course. It didn’t really matter tbh as the views are beautiful as was the weather. Clubhouse has a patio area. Pro shop was happy to book us a taxi back into Alicante.
