Cocca Hotel Royal Thai SPA

I stayed at Cocca Hotel Royal Thai SPA for 1 night due to business trip. The hotel offers a very good view from the rooms (lake view), clean rooms, free indoor parking area. It is also possible to go accross the street and enjoy a perfect view of the lake while walking around it. I haven't used any swimming pool or SPA facility, therefore I cannot comment on these. I was overall happy with the stay but there are a few things to mention: although there were complimentary instant coffee and tea in the room, there was no water boiler at all. When I asked for a water boiler from the reception, I was told that there is no water boiler and I should use the microvawe in the room. Nevertheless, there was no instruction how to boil water in a cup in a microvawe. This is the first 4-star hotel that I have ever seen with no water boiler in the room. Second negative thing was the breakfast - although there was a place for it, there was no scrambled egg and some other foods were already consumed completely, despite there was 1,5 hours left until the end of the breakfast session. There was only 1 waitress, who was in rush to clean & prepare the used tables and she was always busy - it seems like there was an understaffed kitchen service team. Last negative thing was the WiFi speed - it was not possible to use the WiFi conveniently, since the internet speed was slow in my room. Overall, for business trips, acceptable level of comfort but there are plenty of improvement areas for the hotel.

The views of the lake and sunrise were beautiful. Unfortunately the air/heat in room did not work. Front desk told me they turned on. It was not. It wanted to kick on but did not. Be very weary if you are there on a Saturday night and have no dinner reservations or be sure you have a car. They certainly will not tell you as much when you book or check in. Especially if you are traveling from out of the country. Just do some research, help is limited.

The hotel had an average room and the breakfast was nothing special. Overall, it gave the impression that the ambiance and maintenance did not meet the standards of a 4-star hotel. The pool had limited opening hours. Swimming was only possible from 10 am in the morning, and guests were asked to leave by 7 pm in the evening. Pool service could be better. The manager/director had a lengthy and irritated discussion with a cleaning staff member in front of the guests. Very unprofessional behavior. I would definitely not book this hotel again.

The WiFi is poor. I'm writing this using my mobile data. After a great meal in Sarnico we wanted a drink in the bar but after ringing the bell many times we asked at the reception but this lady was too busy talking to a colleague and completely ignored me. Breakfast is okay and dinner was nothing special. The pool is nice but the decked area with the loungers quite small and gets cramped at the weekend. The underground parking is good.

Very nice staff and a strong 3 star hotel (breakfast as you would expect at a 3 star hotel). Pool area is very nice and clean. I did not get to enjoy the spa or other amenities. The staff spoke broken English so I recommend a basic level of Italian to stay here. I would recommend to anyone looking to get away from the city.
