Castillo Hotel Son Vida

We had an amazing stay at Son Castillo Vida. From the moment we arrived, everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and that feeling stayed throughout the whole visit. The service was very nice all the time. The spa is awesome, really relaxing, beautifully done, and a great place to switch off. The food was outstanding, every meal was fresh, well prepared, and honestly one of the highlights of the stay. The rooms are beautiful, very comfortable, and everything is done to a high standard. Overall, everything just worked perfectly. It’s one of those places where you don’t have to think or worry about anything, you can just enjoy your time. Would absolutely recommend and would love to come back.

The location is great, rooms are ok. The Christmas menu unfortunately killed our experience. Heavily overpriced with really bad quality food and no atmosphere. Many people gave they’re plates back. As compensation we were offered a free meal on the next trip when really our money back would have been an adequate response. Spa area is also adequate at best. It’s a shame because the location is so nice but at the moment I wouldn’t come here, at least not in the winter for spa or if I was planning on eating there. Feels like investors are trying to squeeze out money without investing.

Absolutely unacceptable experience — stay away. To make the story short, two cockroaches were found in the bathroom during my stay. I immediately called the front desk expecting urgency or at least some level of concern. Instead, a staff member casually came to the room, killed one of the cockroaches, couldn’t find the other one, and just left as if this was completely normal. No apology, no shock, nothing. I asked to be moved to a different room — a very reasonable request — and was told it was “not possible,” even though the hotel was clearly not sold out. I ended up barely sleeping all night knowing there was still a cockroach loose somewhere in the room. Completely unacceptable, unsanitary, and unprofessional. I’m attaching videos and photos because this experience speaks for itself. This property needs serious attention to cleanliness and customer service. I will not be returning and cannot recommend it to anyone. So far, I emailed the GM a week ago and no reply! They simply don’t care. Good luck staying in this “luxury collection” property. This is a good option if you want to stay away of the crowded city Center. Pool is amazing, but pool service lacks quality. They close the pool at 7pm during summer which is a bummer if you want to enjoy the hotel after a day at the beach. The main reason we decided to stay there was because of the pool, but we were always late for the pool schedule. Restaurants are ok and breakfast is good. It’s a historical hotel with beautiful decor and luxurious vibes. Great price point if you want some luxury in Mallorca but do not have the budget to stay closer to the beach. A part from the pool staff, overall service is very attentive and kind. They went above and beyond to help us figure out how to charge the rental car. Recommend drinks by bar before or after dinner.

Beautiful hotel situated in the hills above Palma and with great views over the city. Conveniently situated for three world class golf courses but you don't need to play golf to enjoy staying here. The hotel has a lovely pool and the restaurants are excellent.
