Botanic Golf SaCuba & Resort

At first sight, this hotel has a lot of potential. The grounds are beautifully maintained, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing. For our wedding anniversary, the hotel kindly upgraded us to a suite – a very thoughtful gesture. Since the suite was very dark, we decided to move to a standard room instead, which was much brighter and had a terrace with a nice view. We really appreciated the hotel’s flexibility here. Rooms & Cleanliness: The rooms are a decent size and have the basic furniture you need. However, they feel unfinished and lack atmosphere: no decoration, nails left in the wall above the bed, missing plaster, and at arrival even crooked shelves. Cleanliness was the biggest issue. We found cobwebs in the room, towels that were washed but had stubborn stains (even after exchanging, stained towels kept coming back into circulation), and bedding that had hairs on it when we arrived. The shower was the worst: the glass wall was covered in limescale and was never cleaned during our stay, and the rain shower head was so clogged that barely any water came out. One sink was blocked and leaking underneath. Management’s response: We reported all of this with photos to the manager, who came personally with a technician. He removed the cobwebs, changed the bedding, repaired the crooked shelf, and tried to fix the sink (though it still leaked a little). We appreciate that he listened and took care of these smaller issues. However, the bigger problems – the limescaled shower, damaged walls, stained towels – were not addressed during our stay. Breakfast: This was the weakest part. Every day there were only croissants, butter, jam, cereal, sometimes a little fruit, and boiled eggs – already peeled, usually overcooked, and on some days left uncovered so flies were sitting on them. Scrambled eggs were prepared fresh daily, which was nice, but bacon was only available twice. The cucumber slices looked old and unappetizing. Yogurts in the fridge were expired, and once removed, they were never restocked. At €15 per person, this is unacceptable. Even with the 50% discount we were given, it still wasn’t worth it. One morning we skipped breakfast at the hotel and went to Olbia instead, where we paid €30 for two and had an excellent breakfast with warm dishes – the difference was night and day. Restaurant: On the other hand, the hotel’s restaurant for dinner was very good. The food was delicious and of much higher quality than breakfast. Overall: The grounds and the restaurant show that this hotel has a lot of potential. But the rooms feel unfinished, cleanliness and maintenance are lacking, and the breakfast is far below standard. The manager deserves credit for fixing small issues, but the major problems remained unresolved. 2/5 stars – beautiful setting, but too many fundamental issues with the rooms, cleanliness, and breakfast.

Everyone here was incredibly helpful and kind. A big thank you to William and Francesca for making sure we had a wonderful stay. The place is beautiful and spotless, the restaurant is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable. I would come back in a heartbeat.

Nice chill Hotel a bit outside of a city. View is amazing. Rooms are good. It has two pools. You can have braakfast there.

The pools are absolutely fantastic and beautiful, the staff is so lovely. The place is a perfect escape if u want a quiet day at the pool. My dad is at the golfcourse, playing golf. It’s the perfect accession for an even more relaxed day :)

We had a fantastic time on our honeymoon at this resort! All the staff were lovely - in particular Sara and Francesco! The rooms were modern and clean with a great view. The food not only looked good but was delicious! The swimming pools and outdoor area were very well maintained. We had a brilliant time here and would definitely recommend the stay!
