Bassac River Cruises

I took a short but very pleasant cruise on the Bassac from Can Tho to Cai Be. A beautiful junk. Magnificent woodwork. A comfortable cabin where everything is tastefully decorated. The shower water is hot. The meals are very good. The team is professional: from the young woman at the reception desk in Can Tho to the crew of the Bassac. The excursions were interesting, both the bicycle tour through the countryside and the visits to the production of various regional specialties: coconut caramel, rice popcorn, rice cakes, etc. As for the boat trip on the small canals, it was a real treat. It was a welcome change from noisy group tours 😱 My, our guide who speaks excellent French, took great care of us, supplementing the explanations given by the various people presenting their activities. This mini-cruise was truly a great pleasure, a peaceful and comfortable interlude amidst the hustle and bustle that a trip to Vietnam can sometimes be. Thanks to the Bassac Company.

Such a wonder and pleasant cruise We felt so lucky to be the only three guests on a 6-cabin boat served by a team of six, but also felt so sad to know they have very few guests these days because of COVID crisis. Really appreciate their attitude to maintain good services and quality during these difficult time. Our family were more than satisfied with everything they offered: guide, food, boat facilities, cruise itinerary, cleanness and especially staff, very professional, welcoming and caring. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED sand hope business will soon be back.
