Stayed here several tmes, handy to carlingford, dundalk and drogheda. We caught the train to Dublin from dundalk. Hotel has everything you could want from a hotel, restaurants, bar area, plenty of well kept gardens and a golf course. Nice to walk around the grounds. I think they were resurfacing their tents courts or installing paddle ball courts, (end Feb 2026).
There's a gym with a weights room, some aerobic machines, a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, plunge pool and out door jacuzzi here also, which residents have access to during their stay.

Room was awful carpet was dusty and about 30 years old as was the bed and pillows. So incredibly uncomfortable. The rest of the hotel is gorgeous and the staff is lovely but my god we went home early it was that uncomfortable.

Traveled up from Dublin for the night away, so handy to get too.. place as always was spotless, receptionists and waiting staff were so friendly and helpful (Barry in particular in the restaurant is amazing at his job). Pool and all facilities were clean. But the food in the restaurant ... Next level, try lamb or the salmon mains... Would travel up every week just for that...

Beautiful hotel and surroundings. Terrible (bar) food. Fries inedible as all overcooked, prawn cocktail had 4-5 prawns max , Thai chicken salad and pâté disappointing. Roast dinner too salty.

I realise this place is well known in Ireland, but it was new to me. A lovely hotel in great grounds, surrounded by great countryside but not too far from Dundalk. Very friendly staff and nice room, very clean but a little dated maybe? Definitely recommend!
