Arzaga Golf Club

A magnificent spa, a gorgeous view of the golf course, an excellent restaurant and access to beautiful places on Lake Garda make this place unique.

Was able to get on the Nicholas Course without reservations. The course is mostly well maintained and lush but there are a few bare spots and crab grass patches on the fairways. This is a wide resort style course that is forgiving off the tees but trouble near the greens requires an accurate approach. Typical of Nicholas designs, there several tisk reward holes with forced water carries or creek crossings. Bunkers are hit or miss. Some were water ligged but others had very nice sand. Greens were is good shape, soft and held the ball well but there were ball marks. Its anice course worthy of the $105 price but I suggest an afternoon tee time to let the course dry out a bit. It was very wet in the morning.

This was the first of four courses we played around Lake Garda. We are a group that tour regularly in Europe and have played hundreds of courses over the years. Sadly this was not one that rated well. We played Gary Player first nine then Jack Nicklaus second nine. Overall the first was the better layout. The condition overall was not good. Scruffy tees and fairways and inconsistent and variable greens. No water in ball washes. A disappointing experience.

Great 27 hole golf course with much variation. 2 x 9 holes designed by Jach Nicklaus and 9 by Gary Player. Great practice facilities with grass driving range, bunker, pitch and chip greens and a good putting green. Well maintained. Very nice and friendly staff in the reception, pro shop and restaurant.

Great hotel and amazing 27 hole course - challenging, yet fair. The palazzo is beautiful but has seen better times - still a 5 star experience thanks to staff and breakfast served - bar and dinner are not recommended
